At the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (NWMMSDC), we are deeply committed to advancing inclusion and fostering opportunities for diverse businesses.

To do so, our Manger of Certification, Armando Guerrero, represented the Council (NWMMSDC) at two events this week.

First, he went to the Yakima Convention Center for the “2024 We the People Convening: Be Bold. Be Change” event, hosted by the WA State of Equity, to support state agencies as they co-create innovative approaches to pro-equity and anti-racism (PEAR) initiatives.

With conversations and workshops focused on creating an inclusive Washington state, this event centered around fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging courageous, bold action towards system change in state government.

Then, Armando represented NWMMSDC at the Small Business Certification Day in Portland, Oregon. Organized as part of the AGC’s Inclusion in Construction Week, this event provided a crucial platform for minority-owned businesses to gain insights into the certification process, network with key public agencies, and explore new opportunities with general contractors.

Armando’s efforts and participation ensure that NWMMSDC continues to be a resource for businesses seeking certification and opportunities to grow in competitive markets.
